We are very excited to announce that the Dedham store is complete.    We are located near Legacy Place.  It is right between Bed Bath & Beyond and Best Buy and is in the same strip mall as Dunkin Donuts.

 

Many Harrows customers have been asking what will happen to Harrows in Reading now that Calareso’s has left  Quite simply put, the answer is nothing.

In fact, Harrows has owned the property since the early 1930s.  The current phone number, 944-0410, was issued to Harrows in 1934.

Many changes have occurred at Harrows in Reading over the last 75-80 years, but a few things will never change….the location, the phone number, and we still make the best chicken pies around. We still make the pies the same homemade, slow cooked way, we did when we first opened our doors in the 1930s.  Our Reading store is the home base of all of our locations, and we have no plans on changing that.

Now that Calareso’s has moved on, new neighbors have moved into their old building.

The parking lot area that Calareso's previously occupied is currently available for lease.  It is approximately 30,000 square feet.

We recently finished a face lift of sorts on the front of the building.  We upgraded the look on the outside of the building, put up an appealing new sign, and added a little green....with some landscaping!

Harrows has been around for many past generations, and plans on operating from our 126 Main Street location in Reading for many future generations to come.

 

 

What We Do

Let Harrows make dinner tonight.  Harrows Chicken Pie gives you a nice homemade meal that's delicious and easy to make.  Whether it's a busy weekday getting the kids from school and driving them back and forth , a long day at work,  or a nice relaxing weekend with the family, Harrows can provide a dinner that's not only fast, but delicious too.  You could spend your whole day in the kitchen, and make a family meal yourself, or spend the time with your family, and let us make a nice family meal for you. 
You can either pick up a cold chicken pie, and cook it at home, or call ahead and pick up a steaming hot chicken pie that's ready to eat.
Our chicken pies are made fresh daily the old fashioned way.  For over 75 years Harrows has been using the same recipe, and making the Chicken Pies from scratch at our Reading location.  Our fresh chicken is slow-cooked overnight and our own special gravy is made from scratch every day.  They are available with carrots and potatoes or without and contain all white meat.
